TikTok Follower Counter by WP Social #

Before you start, make sure you have an TikTok account.
Once that’s set up, just follow these quick steps.

STEP 1: Access your WordPress dashboard #

Naviagate to WP Social and select Social Counter.

Ve a la Providers tab. Find TikTok and toggle the button to turn it ON.

Ahora, click on the SETTINGS opción.

Here, you need Client ID and Client Secret ID. So, click on the App Settings link.

It’ll take you to the TikTok developer’s site.

STEP 2: Login or Sign to TikTok Account #

Here, you have to login or sign up for a developer account.

The steps are simple:

1. Click on the Connect an app button.
2. Type an App name and click on the confirm button.

You app has been created. Now, move to sandbox tab.

Click on the Create Sandbox button and type a sandbox name.

Copy the client key and client secret key.

Now go back to Wp social’s tiktok’s settings and paste the keys in the given fields.

STEP 3: Basic Informtaion #

Ahora, go back to the Sandbox, scroll down and insert the basic information here.

• App icon: Here you have to upload a 1024px x 1024px app icon.
• Category: Select a suitable category from the drop down menu.
• Descripción: Write your app’s description.
• Terms of Service URL: Link to your app or website’s official Terms of Service.
• Privacy Policy URL: Use teh link to your app or website’s official privacy policy.
• Plataformas: Select a platform.
• Web/Desktop URL: Link to the official website for your app or service.

However, you’ll get the web/desktop URL from the TikTok’s settings window.

Now, you have to add products and scopes.

When you click the plus sign to add products, you’ll see a window. Select Login Kit and done.

Similarly, add scopes by clicking the add button of Scopes.

Scroll down and click on Add account from target users.

You will be redirected to log in to your TikTok account. So, just login to TikTok account.

Now you can check, your account has been successfully added.

Next, click on the Generate key button

Here is your access token. Copy it and go back to the settings.

Insert the token, clear cache and save changes.

STEP 4: Check TikTok connection #

Now, go to any page from the dashboard, take a shortcode block and save the changes.

Preview and check your followers count.
