questions (FAQ)

We get it — you still have a few knots to untie. Here’re some frequently asked questions to help you along the way:

MetForm supports mathematical operations like multiplication, addition, subtraction, division, float (decimal precision), round (nearest integer), and numberFormat (comma-separated display). Operations can be combined in a single expression for multi-step formulas.
Each MetForm field has a Name, a unique identifier you set when building the form. In the Calculation field's expression, use these names with operators. For example, if your fields are named packages and qty, write packages * qty. Names must use only letters, numbers, underscores, or hyphens — no spaces.
In real time. As visitors change any field value, the Calculation field recalculates and updates the displayed result immediately — no form submission required. This is the core behaviour of the feature.
Two ways: use the float(expression, N) function in the expression (e.g. float(packages / qty, 2) shows two decimal places), or use the Minimum/Maximum Fraction Digits settings in the field's options panel — no expression change needed for the second method.
Yes. Enable the WooCommerce Checkout toggle on the Calculation field, then add your WooCommerce checkout or cart page URL in the form's Redirect Box under settings. The calculated value passes through to checkout, letting visitors calculate their price and pay in one flow.
Calculation is a Pro feature. MetForm's free version covers core form building. The Pro upgrade adds Calculation, Conditional Logic, Multi-Step Forms, payment gateways, WooCommerce integration, and CRM connections.
