MetForm 4.0 is Here: Complete Analytics, Better Workflows, Smart Forms

MetForm 4.0 Introducing Form Analytics

Most WordPress form plugins can tell you how many submissions you received. Some may tell you the number of views and conversion rate at best. But you can barely know where those submissions came from, which devices converted best, how visitors behaved before submitting, or how quiz participants actually performed.

That missing layer of insight often forces site owners to rely on external analytics tools, manual reporting, and a collection of disconnected workflows.

MetForm 4.0 changes that.

This release introduces MetForm Analytics, a built-in analytics system for forms and quizzes that lives entirely inside WordPress. Alongside analytics, we have refined the form creation UI and expanded conditional logic with dynamic field value support.

Let’s start with the biggest addition in this release.

MetForm Analytics: Know exactly how your forms and quizzes perform

For years, form builders have focused heavily on collecting data. MetForm 4.0 shifts the focus toward understanding that data.

MetForm analytics is a complete form performance layer built directly into WordPress forms. No external analytics platforms to configure, no tracking codes to install, and no additional services to manage.

Once you enable this WordPress form analytics, you will get a detailed report from every submission since then through a dedicated dashboard inside your WordPress admin area.

The dashboard supports both General Forms and Quiz Forms, allowing you to analyze lead generation performance and assessment outcomes from a single location.

The form analytics dashboard at a glance

The dashboard is designed to answer the most important questions immediately. When you go to MetForm → Analytics, you will find the following in the Overview tab.

Using the date picker, form selector, and form-type toggle, you can analyze all forms collectively or focus on a specific form over a specific period.

At the top of the dashboard, you will find four headline metrics:

  • Total Views: This shows how many times visitors loaded pages containing your forms. A high view count combined with low submissions often indicates friction somewhere in the form experience.
  • Total Conversions: Conversions represent completed submissions. This metric helps you understand how many visitors actually completed the intended action.
  • Conversion Rate: Perhaps the most important metric on the dashboard. Rather than measuring traffic alone, conversion rate shows how effectively your form turns visitors into leads, subscribers, registrants, or customers.
  • Average Session Time: This metric helps reveal engagement patterns. Longer sessions may indicate thoughtful engagement, while unusually short sessions could point to usability issues or mismatched expectations.

In the overview tab, you will also get access to traffic & sources breakdown, device & browser data, graphical analysis, and daily submission pattern trends. All of these metrics have separate tabs as well.

Traffic & Sources: Know what’s actually driving submissions

Traffic volume can be misleading. A campaign might generate thousands of visits while producing very few conversions. Another channel might send significantly fewer visitors but generate the majority of your leads.

MetForm Analytics helps identify that difference.

The Traffic Source Distribution chart breaks traffic into:

  • Organic
  • Direct
  • Referral

This allows you to quickly understand where visitors are coming from and which channels deserve further investment.

The Top Referrers table goes even deeper by showing the exact URLs that are sending traffic to your forms.

This information becomes especially valuable when:

✅ Running advertising campaigns

✅ Collaborating with partners

✅ Publishing guest content

✅ Managing affiliate traffic

Instead of optimizing for traffic volume alone, you can focus on conversion quality.

Because ultimately, 100 converting visitors are worth far more than 10,000 visitors who never submit your form.

Devices & Browsers: Catch responsive issues before they cost you leads

Not all visitors experience your forms the same way.

A form that works perfectly on a desktop may become frustrating on mobile devices. Likewise, browser-specific issues can silently reduce conversion rates without you noticing.

MetForm Analytics surfaces these insights automatically.

The Device Distribution chart provides a breakdown across:

  • Desktop
  • Mobile
  • Tablet

Meanwhile, the Browser Performance chart compares engagement and conversion behavior across browsers, such as:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge
  • Opera

For example, imagine desktop users convert at 18% while mobile users convert at only 4% for your form.

It might indicate that the fields are difficult to complete on smaller screens, or the submit button is hard to access, or the entire form layouts are breaking on mobile devices.

Instead of discovering these issues months later, you can identify them immediately and take action.

Geographic Analytics: See where your forms convert

If your audience spans multiple countries, understanding geographic performance becomes critical.

MetForm Analytics includes geographic reporting that helps visualize where visitors and conversions originate.

The dashboard includes an interactive World Map and Top Country Table. The world map view quickly visualizes where your audience is concentrated. And the top country table breaks down the view, conversion, and conversion rate for every country from which the visitor accessed your form.

This data becomes incredibly useful for:

  • Multilingual websites
  • International campaigns
  • Regional targeting
  • Global SaaS businesses
  • Educational platforms

Once you discover which region is generating significant traffic, you can focus on a localized campaign for that region.

With the insight can justify:

✅Better localization

✅Language-specific forms

✅Region-focused campaigns

✅Country-specific landing pages

Without analytics, those opportunities often remain invisible.

Submission Trends: Time your campaigns around real data

With proper analytical data, marketing decisions are based on assumptions. What time of the day generates the most engagement? When are visitors most likely to submit forms? And based on these info, when should you schedule your posts and emails?

The Daily Submission Pattern chart answers those questions with real data.

By analyzing historical submission trends, you can identify:

  • Peak engagement periods
  • Seasonal patterns
  • Campaign performance windows
  • Traffic spikes
  • Performance declines

You can also filter results by individual forms, making it easier to compare different campaigns and initiatives.

Rather than relying on intuition, you can plan around actual user behavior.

Quiz Analytics: Purpose-built for educators, trainers, and course creators

When the general form analytics is valuable, the quiz analytics is transformational.

A completed quiz submission only tells you that someone reached the end. It doesn’t reveal whether they understood the material, struggled with specific questions, or abandoned the assessment halfway through.

That’s why MetForm 4.0 includes a dedicated Quiz Analytics dashboard.

Switching to Quiz mode reveals an entirely different set of performance indicators.

Key quiz performance metrics

MetForm’s WordPress form analytics includes the following metrics for quiz forms:

Average Score: The average score helps determine overall quiz difficulty and participant readiness. For example, an average score of 72.4% may indicate balanced difficulty.

Highest Score: Shows the strongest performance achieved across all participants. This helps identify the upper limit of learner success.

Lowest Score: Provides insight into how struggling participants perform. Large gaps between the highest and lowest scores may indicate uneven understanding.

Correct/Wrong Ratio: A quick way to assess whether questions are appropriately calibrated. If wrong answers dominate, the quiz may be too difficult.

Total Questions: Provides immediate context for all performance metrics.

Most Skipped Question: Indicates which questions may have confusing wording, ambiguous questions, or excessive difficulty that most of the users skip.

Score Distribution

The Score Distribution chart shows how scores cluster across the participant group.

This visualization helps answer questions such as:

  • Are participants performing consistently?
  • Is the assessment too easy?
  • Is it too difficult?
  • Are scores concentrated in a narrow range?

If nearly everyone scores between 90 and 100, the quiz may not be challenging enough. If most participants score below 30, it may require revision.

Pass / Fail Breakdown

Many quizzes are designed around specific performance thresholds.

MetForm allows administrators to define a pass mark directly within quiz settings.

Analytics then automatically tracks:

  • Pass count
  • Fail count
  • Pass percentage
  • Fail percentage

The donut chart provides an instant visual overview of assessment outcomes.

For certification programs, training platforms, and educational institutions, this metric is particularly valuable.

Quiz Completion Metrics

Completion metrics reveal how participants interact with assessments.

The dashboard tracks:

  • Average Time to Complete: Understand how long participants spend completing the quiz.
  • Completion Rate: Measure how many users reach the end.
  • Abandonment Rate: Track how many users quit before finishing.

Together, these metrics help determine whether your quiz is engaging, appropriately sized, and aligned with participant expectations.

Why MetForm analytics is different

Many website owners never implement form analytics because the setup feels overwhelming.

Others spend hours configuring GA4 events, conversion tracking, custom reports, and dashboards. MetForm Analytics takes a different approach.

  • No third-party dependency: MetForm’s WordPress Form Analytics does not require any third-party integration, which saves you from configuring a separate tool or loading your WordPress with another plugin.

You don’t require any data streams, tracking scripts, or complex event configuration. The data collection begins working as soon as the MetForm Analytics is activated.

  • Data stays on your server: All analytics data remains within your WordPress environment. This gives you greater control while simplifying compliance requirements.
  • Zero performance impact: External analytics platforms often introduce additional scripts and requests. MetForm Analytics avoids that complexity, helping preserve site performance.
  • GDPR-friendly data collection: The MetForm plugin itself follows the GDPR compliance checklist. So all of the data collected by the analytics strictly follows GDPR rules and does not violate user privacy.

For agencies managing client sites, course creators running assessments, and marketers optimizing lead generation funnels, this is the analytics layer that has been missing from the WordPress form builder ecosystem.

Beyond form analytics, MetForm steps forward towards a more dynamic form builder

Analytics may be the MVP in the MetForm 4.0, but this release makes the experience more dynamic for conditional logic and conditional redirect after form submission.

Smarter Conditional Logic: Dynamic Field Values Are Now Supported

Conditional logic in MetForm has always let you show or hide fields based on what a user selects. MetForm 4.0 extends this significantly: conditions can now be evaluated against dynamic field values, not just static predefined options. This removes a ceiling that previously required custom code to get around.

Before 4.0: Show field B if field A equals static string “Yes”

After 4.0:  Show field B if field A matches the live, dynamic value of field C

Practical Use Cases for dynamic value based conditiona logic:

  • Dependent pricing fields: Show a custom price breakdown field only when a “Quantity” field exceeds a threshold that a user entered elsewhere in the same form, rather than a fixed number you hardcoded at build time.
  • Cross-field eligibility logic: Show an eligibility warning or alter the form path if a value entered in one field (e.g., company size or budget range) doesn’t align with a dynamically generated criteria value held in another field.
  • Dynamic follow-up questions: In a quiz or survey, show a follow-up question whose visibility depends on a calculated result or a score value from earlier fields—not a static answer choice.
  • Multi-step form branching: Route users through different form steps based on a value collected in a previous step, where the branching condition couldn’t be defined at build time because it depends entirely on what the user typed.

A personalized post-submission experience with a conditional redirect

When a user submits a form, a standard form plugin typically takes everyone to the same generic thank-you page. But because every customer submission is different, your post-submission experience should be too. MetForm 4.0 introduces Conditional Redirects, allowing you to route users to entirely different landing pages based on the specific inputs they provide.

Instead of treating all traffic equally, you can construct simple or highly specific routing logic. The intuitive rule builder gives you granular control over how data influences user redirection:

  • Logic (AND vs. OR): When configuring multiple conditions within a single group, you can toggle between AND (every single condition must match for a very specific target) or OR (any one matching condition triggers the action).
  • The Condition Stack: For each rule, you define the Field to evaluate, the exact Value to look for, and the Operator. Supported comparison operators include:
OperatorMeaning
==Equal to
!=Not equal to
>Greater than
>=Greater than or equal to
<Less than
<=Less than
  • Redirect URL: The target destination link where the user goes if the rules match.
  • Multiple Rule Groups: By clicking + Add Rule Group, you can chain multiple independent redirection destinations together. MetForm evaluates these groups from top to bottom, and the first group to match perfectly wins the redirect.  If no rule groups match, the system automatically falls back to your standard “Redirect To URL” setting, or displays your standard success message if that is empty.

How to set up conditional redirects in WordPress?

Applying this logic to your forms takes only a few steps:

  1. Navigate to MetForm → Forms in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Hover over your desired form and click Edit to launch the Form Settings window.
  3. Under the General tab, scroll down to the Conditional Redirect section.
  4. Switch the toggle button to YES to activate the logic engine.
  5. Click + Add Condition or + Add Rule Group to define your fields, operators, target values, and custom destination URLs.
  6. Save your settings and test your form to see your dynamic routing in action.

Visual Recommendation: Insert a screenshot here of the Conditional Redirect rule group interface displaying the YES toggle, AND/OR logic block, and the subscription field example rules configured.

Form building workflow is better and smoother with the new UI

MetForm 4.0 also improves the daily experience of building forms.

In the MetForm Pro 3.9.7 release, we introduced a completely redesigned UI for the users. In the MetForm 4.0 version, the transition is finally complete.

When you go to MetForm → Form → Add New Form, you will now see a more polished and organized workflow with more accessible UI to create a new form.

The form creation interface has been redesigned with a simple goal, reduce friction without reducing capability.

Key improvements include:

  • A cleaner, organized pop-up modal.
  • Better categorization of form templates.
  • Faster access to form templates.
  • Search field for templates.
  • Filter general forms and quiz forms separately.

Building a form now feels more focused and efficient.

Meanwhile, the Form Settings are now easily accessible under more organized tabs, including: General settings, Confirmation (for confirmation email and verification), Notification (for admin notification email), Integration, Payment, CRM, Auth, and Post.

Existing forms remain fully compatible, so users can upgrade without rebuilding anything.
